Faculties and other parts of the UoD run lifelong study programmes within its educational and professional activities. These are laid out in the UoD Lifelong studies Code. These study programmes are run in the full-time, distance or combined form of study. Within the UoD criteria, these are especially career, specialized or special-purpose courses, the Third Age courses, professional workshops, lectures, lecture cycles or seminars.
The Lifelong study programmes and their type and form of study are announced by the Dean of the faculty or the Director of the appropriate section.
Information about the Lifelong study programmes are made public in advance. The participant of the lifelong studies is not classed as a student (University Act no. 111/1998 of the Collection of Laws, § 60, clause 3). Graduation is stated by the Lifelong study programme. The graduate is awarded a Certificate of Studies within the Lifelong study programme.
