There has been a long tradition of school balls at the University of Defence. Balls have been organized since 2004. There is a University ball and each of the faculties organize its own ball too. The University one take place at the Voroněž Interhotel, Brno; the Faculty ones are smaller and take place at the UoD Club. There is a thematic cultural programme, for instance, the theme of the last ball was the national folklore. The University folk and dance groups brought an unusual and pleasant experience which was appreciated by both laymen and experts.
