In Brno, University of Defence other personnel have five canteens available. These are facilities in Kounicova 65 HQ building, Sumavska 4 barracks, Tuckova 23 dormitory, Cerna Pole barracks and Zidenice barracks.

For 2011, the following prices for meals are in force for other personnel:

• breakfast            CZK 66.00
• lunch                  CZK 71.00 (or CZK 80.00 if lunch no.5 is selected)
• dinner meal bag   CZK 88.00.

Meal ordering

Long-term visit and course participants receive electronic cards upon arrival. The card, among others, is activated for catering service electronic system. It may be used for placing orders through terminals and for claiming meals at dining halls. To place an order, all you need to do is to first deposit a cash amount to the catering account in a catering office.

Short-term visitors may buy meal tickets that have to be stamped with chosen lunch number and date for which the order is made.

If a person could not order a meal in advance, there are still four meals available without order. Those meals are claimed right at the dining hall delivery desk.

Offices to deposit cash or buy meal tickets:

Catering for the Faculty of Military Health Sciences in Hradec Králové is available in the dining hall in Třebešská 1575 (Faculty building).

This facility only serves lunch without the necessity of ordering in advance.

The following prices for meals apply to other personnel:

• lunch 1-4  CZK 70.00
• short order CZK 79.00

Payment is done in cash at the cashier desk in the delivery desk line. Hall is open from 11.00 till 13.00 hrs.

Shops:

Along with dining halls, the persons in Brno may use several shops run by Zlatá Hvězda, spol. s r.o. company. The shops offer small refreshments and additional goods.

In Hradec Kralove, the catering company also runs a small shop of additional grocery goods in the dining hall, open on weekdays from 7.30 till 8.30 and from 11.00 till 13.00.
