Curriculum vitae

Colonel Josef Trojan was born on 18 March 1959. Having graduated from the Vyškov Land Forces College in 1982 he was appointed platoon leader at the airborne regiment Prostějov. Here he was posted on several commanding and staff positions by 1989 at the levels of company/battalion. In the period 1989 – 1992 he studied the post-graduate course of the Reconnaissance Department of the Brno Military Academy. From 1992 on he was appointed many leading positions (from operation cell chief officer to the chief of staff) at the airborne brigade staff.

In 2000 he was appointed special brigade commander in Prostějov. As of 1 April 2003, i.e. Training and Doctrine Directorate establishment in Vyškov, he was appointed chief operation and planning division officer – deputy chief of staff and remained in the position till 31 August 2004. Since 1 September 2004 he has been appointed University of Defence deputy rector responsible for military matters. In 2005 - 2006 he attended the General Staff course. Colonel Josef Trojan is married, has two children, resident in Prostějov.
