“The journey to the stage in Mahen Theatre is not an easy way for our graduates. It is going along the years of hard studies, passing challenging examinations and formidable obstacles represented by other student’s duties. That is the reason why only those who were tough in and responsible for their effort can stand here today. … I believe you have learnt many a thing during your studies and that you take more than only the diplomas from the faculty. What I am talking about is deep knowledge in the fields of your programmes as well as the ability of applying the acquired information,” said Faculty of Military Technology dean colonel Zdeněk Vintr to the address of the graduates.
The events in Mahen Theatre proceeded further with the meeting of Faculty of Economics and Management academic community to confer the degrees and hand out diplomas to 149 graduates from military and civilian programmes. The diplomas were presented by Faculty of Economics and Management dean colonel Ing. Vladan Holcner, Ph.D.
“Today most of you conclude student’s years to enrol in the most challenging school, the school of life. The fact that you graduate from the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Defence means most of you shall work in favour of providing our common home country with the key values of defence and security. Therefore, your future cannot divide from our country’s future,” told FEM’s graduates colonel Vladan Holcner.
The dean addressed also graduates’ present parents and relatives in his speech. “We should not forget those who were first and foremost your guides through the studies. They are your parents, grandparent, partners or others who supported you during the studies, either in financial or moral way. It is you, our graduates’ close persons, who they should devote their thanks and gratitude. Therefore you can think of today as a day of yours as well as the graduates can. It is the day your investment in a relative person has come to fulfilment of anticipated promising future for them,” remarked colonel Holcner.
