The University of Defence Faculty of Economics and Management Dean inauguration ceremony took place in University Club facility in Brno on 8 January 2010 to induct lieutenant colonel Ing. Vladan Holcner, Ph.D. The ceremony was held in the presence of the representatives of the Czech Ministry of Defence lead by deputy minister of defence Ing. Frantisek Padelek, of allied faculties and other guests.

Chaired by Faculty Academic Senate chairman major Ing. Jozef Heretík, the academic community meeting was opened by University of Defence vice-rector for development colonel prof. Ing. Bohuslav Prikryl, Ph.D. Then, the FEM AS chairman made the audience acquainted with the result of dean candidate elections held on 30 November 2009.

In the following, the elections winner lieutenant colonel Ing. Vladan Holcner, Ph.D., took the Dean oath and came to his new office for the following four year period. Right afterward, the dean appointed and introduced his new vice-deans of the Faculty of Economics and management being doc. RNDr. Jiri Moucka, Ph.D. for curriculum, lieutenant colonel doc. Ing. Petr Cech, Ph.D. for research and major Ing. Pavel Foltin, Ph.D. for external relations and development.
