UD's Visiting Days are Forthcoming

The secondary school students in their last years always weigh up the options for further studies. They may find inspiration in University's of Defence annual studies offer. In this year, the scale of study options will be available to those, who come to participate in the Visiting Days that will be held on 14 January 2010 by the Brno based faculties and on 16 January 2010 by the Faculty of Military Health Sciences in Hradec Kralove.

the University of Defence shall altogether open seventeen fields of study for military students in Bachelor's, Master's and long-cycle Master's studies in 2010/2011 academic year. The range includes military management, economic, engineering and health areas. The three faculties, i.e. Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty of Military Technology and Faculty of Military Health Sciences presented their studies to the probably interested secondary-school students at Gaudeamus 2009 exposition of lifelong learning and education after secondary school.

The University of Defence has significantly broadened its civilian studies possibilities. Civilian students will be able to apply for eleven fields of study, such as "national defence economy", "weapons and ammunition", "combat and special vehicles", "radiolocatoin", "communication and information systems" or "aircraft electrical systems". The graduates from such fields can look for job in government administration, research institutes or Czech defence industry companies.

The Faculty of Economics and Management and the Faculty of Military Technology will thus open the gates to public on Thursday, 14 January 2010 in the barracks in 2 Sumavska Street. Their representatives will present detailed information during the meetings that start at 8.30, 11.00 and at 13.30 in the designated lecture halls. The meetings in the morning and afternoon will include discussions with selected profile fields departments, acquaintance with admission procedures, course of studies and military training. To live up the event, the University of Defence students will perform the shows of Commandos fight demonstrations or MUSADO MCS military martial art.

The Faculty of Military Health Sciences invites guests to its visiting day on Saturday, 16 January 2010 in Faculty's new campus (address: Třebešská 1575, Hradec Králové). The introduction meetings explaining study opportunities shall start at 9.00 and at 13.00 in room VI. The audience shall meet the representatives of Faculty management and of the departments followed by a tour through Faculty's facilities, laboratories and dormitories..
