Department provides basic practical education in laboratories – especially in the subject of Personal and Collective Protection.
Department supplies CBRN defence education for non-CBRN specialists within the NATO and education in application courses.
The Chemical Corps and Technical and Economical Development Department in scientific work:

deals with defence research goals in CBRN Defence area;

studies and evaluates trends of CBRN Defence development of contemporary NATO and PfP armed forces;

creates concepts of CBRN Defence modernization in a harmony with development of new technologies;

participates in examination of material quality that are suitable for construction of individual and collective protection equipment;

provides expert opinions and reviews;

participates in production (writing) of national standards (directives, regulations, manuals and SOPs for units, staff and commanders);

takes a part in combined arms projects.
