Specialization
The department of mathematics and physics specializes in physical science. The department staff are involved pedagogically in the study programme “Military Technology” and specialize academically in the fundamentals of both branches of science and partly in mathematical and physical applications in other technical fields.
The Mathematics group specializes in mathematical application in engineering sciences, numerical methods, differential equations, discreet mathematics, algebraic structures theory, systems modelling and simulation.
The Physics group specializes in neutron and photon spectrometry, reactor vessel dosimetry, radiation protection; relation between mechanical characteristics and structure of metal and polymeric materials; it also studies light dispersion in thin layer systems with commonly correlated rough boundary lines.
The department has been successful in creating materials for computer aided teaching of mathematics and physics, e-learning and blended learning.
