The research is oriented on area of defence research and promptly answers the current technical problems of aircraft and rocket weapon system utilization. The department carries on the research and development of special unmanned vehicles and the research on vulnerability and durability of aerospace and rocket technology. Partial research is focused on the fields of aircraft airframe, aerospace and rocket engines, aerodynamics, flight mechanics, aircraft and rocket systems operations. Involving in research and development the department cooperates with military bases, technical universities, maintenance and manufacturing companies and research institutes.
