Profile

As Associate Professor of Military Electrical Technology, Dr. Drazan lectures undergraduate and graduate cadets and civilian students, and supervises doctoral candidates. As Head of the Radar Department he oversees the syllabus and other requirements of academics and students, and teaches courses in active and passive radar systems and electronic warfare. His research focus is ELINT signals identification, and electromagnetic weapons in radio and microwave bands. Dr. Drazan has taken a number of key roles at the Faculty and is currently serving as Vice-Dean of Public Relations and Development.

Curriculum vitae

Jan Kohout was born on 7th April 1952 in Nové Město na Moravě. He attended the secondary grammar school in Brno, Křenová street, the class specialized in mathematics and physics. Then he studied physics at the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University in Brno. He was graduated in 1975 in specialization Solid State Physics.

After three-year postgraduate studies (including one-year compulsory military service) in the Institute of Physics of Materials, Czech Academy of Sciences in Brno, he worked in the Research Institute for Rolling Bearings, at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology, and at the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University in Brno. In 1980 he was awarded RNDr. degree (rerum naturali doctor, equivalent to M.Sc.), in 1994 CSc. degree (candidatus scientiarum, equivalent to Ph.D.), and in 2004 he habilitated in the branch of Materials Science and Engineering. In 1993/1994 he spent five months on research fellowship in the Institute for Solid State Physics, Vienna University. In 2009 he was promoted to the professorship in the branch of Materials Science and Engineering.

In 2007 and 2008 he worked as vice-rector for research of the University of Defence. From 1st September 2008 he works as vice-dean for research of the Faculty of Military Technology, University of Defence, and simultaneously as the head of the Department of Mathematics and Physics at the same faculty.

Curriculum vitae

Miloš Andrle was born the 29th of August, 1964 in Pardubice. He joined the Military in 1979 when he started to study Aviation Radio Equipment at Military High School in Prešov. He graduated in 1983 and then he served as radio technician in Air Force base in Čáslav. In 1986 he started to study Aviation Radio Equipment at Military University in Košice. After graduation in 1990 he started to attend science course at the Military University in Košice that he passed at the Military Academy in Brno in 1994. He became member of the Department of Air Force Support and Radio Engineering of the Military Academy in Brno in 1993. Later he undertook several functions at this department which was changed into Department of the Aerospace Electrical Systems in 2004. He is the head of the department from 1st of September, 2003 and he is also Vice-dean for Curriculum of the Faculty of Military Technology from 1st of August, 2005. He passed science course at Military Academy in Brno and got his CSc. degree in Military Engineering in 1994. He was appointed associate professor in Military electronics after successful habilitation procedure in 2002.

His pedagogic work is mainly focused on aviation radio navigation systems. His research is focused on solving the problems of military aircraft avionics system.
