In our well equipped biosafety lab two (BSL 2) and three (BSL 3) we can handle virulent organisms such as Francisella tularensis ssp. tularensis SchuS4 or Bacillus anthracis and we are able to manage all possible preparation of sample for next processing. Regarding the analytical technique we apply on our own or in collaboration with our scientific partners (predominantly with the Institute of Molecular Pathology, UoD) are PCR (real time mode as well), fluorescence microscopy (including up to date confocal microscopy), western blotting, 2D-PAGE, HPLC, qualitative and quantitative (iTRAQ, SILAC) mass spectrometry.
