  • Best poster prize at 3rd Central and Eastern European Proteomics Conference. In October 6-9, 2009, the proteomic conference organized by Hungarian Chemical and Proteomic Society, Austrian Proteomic Association and Proteomic Section of Czech Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology was held in Budapest, Hungary. The conference provided information not only about proteomic applications (clinical studies), but also about technical development of the instrumentation (especially in the field of mass spectrometry). It was further shown that proteomics is tightly bound with other fields like chemistry, biology, medicine and bioinformatics. During the conference, 11 plenary lectures, 23 oral presentations and 73 posters were presented. Four poster presentation from the Institute of Molecular Pathology of the Faculty of Military Health Sciences, University of Defence were presented there: RNDr. Pavel Řehulka, Ph.D.: A preconcentration and purification of enzymatic protein digests with CHCA matrix crystals fixed in a pipette tip for MALDI mass spectrometry analysis, Mgr. Alena Fučíková: The SRM Limit of Detection of Proteins Spiked into Undepleted and Depleted, Mgr. Vojtěch Tambor: Cysteinyl Peptide Enrichment Combined with iTRAQ as an Alternative to ICAT a doc. Ing. Lenka Hernychová, Ph.D.: Structural and biochemical properties of Francisella tularensis lipoprotein FTT1103. The last mentioned poster was awarded by a scientific committee and it obtained the prize for the best poster ("The Best Poster Award"). The acknowledgement goes to coauthors of the poster and to financial support of Ministry of Defence in the frame of scientific research plan MO0FVZ0000604 and of the project FVZ200802, further also to Ministry of Education for the project ME08105.
