The FHS has established contacts with a number of similar educational institutions, particularly within the NATO. These are regular contacts involving the exchange of experiences in research and teaching areas, implemented in mutual visits by representatives of schools and short-term exchanges of students on the occasion of the military-technical and military-medical education. These contacts are mainly with the military medical academies in Lyon (France) and Munich (Germany).

Exchange of academic workers is also realized with other institutions at the level of particular expert subjects - such as with the military medical academies in Sofia (Bulgaria), Ankara (Turkey) and the Baltic States. Cooperation in the scientific domain is active with many other military and civilian scientific institutions around the world.

FHS has traditionally good cooperation with U.S. AF, particularly with Army Medical Department Command & School in San Antonio, Texas; and the Texas National Guard.
