CURRICULUM VITAE

LTC. Miroslav Krčmář has graduated at the Air Force Academy and poses degree in aeronautical engineering, Consequently, he was serving as Aircraft Maintenance Officer at various air bases in former Czechoslovakia. In March 1989 he was seconded as Military Observer to the UN Mission (UNTAG) in Namibia and Angola. After his return he was working at various posts at the MoD and Defence HQ in Prague, mostly in the field of international military co-operation. He was involved in the Partnership for Peace and Mil-to-Mil US-Czech military co-operation projects among others. In 1995 he resigned from the military. LTC Krcmar completed his postgraduate studies at the Charles University of Prague and Naval Postgraduate School, Ca., USA. He poses extensive experiences from the field of international co-operation. He was working for UN, OSCE, and EU at more than ten short- and long term Missions in Georgia, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Nepal, etc.. He is currently working as Senior Lecturer at the University of Defense in the Czech Republic, dealing with international security- and defense co-operation and defense planning.
