Specific Orientation:

The structure of the Department of Lifelong Learning consists of three specialised groups:

Military Art Group

Defence Planning Group 

Security Studies Group

Priority activities:

1. Officer training in “career courses”, particularly in Senior Officers Course (KVD), General Staff Course (KGŠ) and in more special courses based on MoD requirements;

2. Scientific research and development for defence

3. Contribution to undergraduate students courses in Bachelor’s and Master’s and also PhD programmes of “Military Management” or “Economics and Management”.

Department professional priorities are determined by MoD requirements. Teaching and research primarily focus on the following fields:

1. Security and defence studies

2. Strategic art studies placing accent on military strategy and operational art

3. Armed forces creation and development.

This department cooperates, maintains and develops professional contacts to appropriate military and civilian institutions and social and scientific organisations both within and beyond the Czech Republic.
