Research

Human Resources Management Department has contributed to faculty research plan for 2004-2011 with the effort exercised in the following subareas:
- human resources transformation in defence and military as subsystems of Czech national defence and economy capabilities;
- optimisation of expenditures in search for, recruitment and selection of military professionals for Czech forces;
- international humanitarian law implementation to Czech conditions;
- analysis of armed forces position in Czech society political system through Czech statehood historical genesis. .

Beside faculty research project, the department runs Czech Science Foundation’s project of “Military Forces’ Role in the Struggle for Political Power in 1945 – 1958” .

Members of all department teams regularly contribute to scientific conferences in and beyond the Czech Republic as appropriate to their fields of science. Their research effort has resulted in publishing many books and proceedings of conferences.

The department keeps contacts with scientific institutions throughout the Czech Republic and other counties, such as Poland, Austria, USA, Canada, Hungary or Slovakia. It organises annual conferences and seminars with international audience.
