The department deals with macroeconomic and microeconomic aspects of state defence economics processes. State defence economics, the relation between economics and defence from the point of view of national and international (NATO) security needs and armed forces economics form fundamental elements of the department’s specialisation. The main attention is given to the study of the economic provision of defence and its macroeconomic connections. The aim of armed forces economics is the management of economic aspects of the Czech army activities, producing, approving, allocating, realizing and assessing sources financing. The efficiency of allocated sources is taken as the basic management principle which is superior to the economic management system.
