Scientific and research activities of the faculty start arise primarily from the task given by the Czech MoD Defence Research Board and from the FEM long-term project of educational, scientific, research, development and further creative activities for years 2010 – 2015. It is closely linked to the NATO Science Committee and NATO Defence Research and Technology Commission programmes.

          Scientific and research activities are mainly focused on the following areas:

-         Improving the efficiency of the teaching and training of military professionals,

-        Small and large Czech Army land units´ management theory in contemporary operations,

-        Czech national defence ressource allocation and management and Czech economic thinking formulation, efficiency and ekonomy in the Czech professional military forces building process,

-        Environmental safety improvement. Logistic support of non-military crises, cisis management process operability of the population protection system.
