Managing Complex Defence Projects Course at Faculty of Economics and Management

On 6 June 2011 was Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management colonel Ing. Vladan Holcner, Ph.D., initiated a course ´Managing Complex Defense Projects. The course will run from 6th to 10th June 2011 in the Hall of Traditions Defense University premises. Course is organized by the Faculty of Economics and Management on behalf of the dean for Public Relations and Development, Lieutenant Colonel Ing. Pavel Foltin, Ph.D., and the U.S. Embassy in Prague, on behalf of Jane Hierschovou.
     

 

Lecturers are lecturers from the International Defense Acquisition Resource Management Program of the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California – dr. Adelia Ritchie, dr. Magdi Kamel, dr. Patrick Gambrel and dr. Timothy ReedThe course will be focused on the acquisition process for defense acquisition personnel of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, the Czech Army and the Defense University academics. This corresponds to the composition of the participantsCourse is attended by a member of the Military Technical Academy, Belgrade (Serbia) Lieutenant Colonel Momčilo Djordjevic. The other participants are staff members of the Ministry of Defence Sections, Defence Internal Audit Department, the Office of Supervision of Acquisitions and also teaching staff of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Management University of Defence. From 13th to 14th June 2011 will be part of the course follow the Ministry of Defence at Prague. Its focus will be designed for top defense officials and the General Staff of the Army of the Czech Republic.
