University of Defence Engineers Assist in Bridge Constructions

The engineers working for the University of Defence have acquired years of experience in flood relief. Their score counts a hundred of bridge projects, most of which have been successfully implemented. The designers’ team of the Engineer Technology department cooperates with Dobruska’s Military Geographic and Hydrometeorological Agency and 15 engineer brigade in the production of project documentation.

Academic Degree Confer Ceremony

The last July Friday in this year was one of important days in University of Defence calendar. The graduates from the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes of the Faculty of Economics and Management and the Faculty of Military Technology gathered in Brno’s Mahen Theatre to take graduate’s oath and receive the diplomas proving their university qualification and conferred degree of “Bachelor” or “Engineer”.

For the sixth time in University of Defence history the new graduates lined for the ceremony on their D-Day on Friday 30 July 2010. They said their good bye in Sumavska barracks on the meeting with University management, important guests, parents and friends.

India Ambassador Calls on the University of Defence

The Ambassador of India to the Czech Republic H.E. Dinkar Prakash Srivastava paid a visit to the University of Defence on Wednesday 28 July 2010 accompanied by Colonel Gurpreet Singh, the Indian defence attache to the Czech Republic. The visitors arrive in Brno to learn of the University of Defence and Czech military higher education. The guests to the University of Defence were welcomed by its vice-rector for research colonel doc. Ing. Martin Macko, CSc., and spokesperson lieutenant colonel Dr. Vladimír Šidla, CSc.
