Student creative activity is important part of education process at the University of Defence. It is one of forms of systematic work with talented students and it is also motivational instrument for development of independent creative work of all students. Students had an opportunity to show their abilities at the Student Scientific Conference at the Faculty of Economics and Management which took place on Thursday May 10, 2012.    

The first ever visit paid by Vienna Neustadt’s Theresian Military Academy commander to the University of Defence occurred on 16 and 17 April 2012. Major General Norbert Sinn accompanied by Erasmus coordinator, colonel Karl-Heinz Wiedner returned the trip made by University delegation in November last year for two days on that the Czech representatives came and saw their Austrian counterparts.    

Within the cooperation among European universities the Faculty of Economics and Management has now 26 foreign students from Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic, Sweden and Turkey. Student will be at our university till the end of the summer semester. We asked one of them – Marcin Pucilowski from Poland – few questions.   

Funded by the Research and Development for Innovations Operational Programme, Regional Development EU Fund‘s “Infrastructure For Teaching Related to Research in Mechanical Engineering Fields Within Military Technology Degree Programmes” project, intended to revitalise University of Defence premises in the Šumavská barracks, has marked a significant milestone in its implementation. The construction site was handed out to the constructor, who is Brno based Unistav, a.s. Company, on Tuesday, 27 March 2012.

Erasmus Students´ Increasing Interest to Study at the UoD​ 
For more than a month the next group of 26 Erasmus students is hosted at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Defence in Brno. There are students from Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden and Turkey who came to study to the Czech Republic within the cooperation between the European universities.​
