French Students’ Summer at the University of Defence
Two of the French defence school ENSTA Bretagne students, lieutenants Jeremy Héréus and Antoine Bertrou, spend this summer in Brno. From 1 July till 6 September they have their summer internships at the University of Defence. Both French students wanted to have experience with international studies, to learn a new working style and new people. Also, getting experienced in collaboration with other Alliance partners may be useful say both of them in unison as they may meet them in future and this is a good way to get prepared. |

Graduates of 2011 Leave University of Defence
One hundred and seventy six students of the military in-site studies officially complete their courses at the Brno University of Defence. The military graduation ceremony took place on Friday, 29 June 2011 in the barracks in Sumavska Street attended by the Deputy Minister of Defence for personnel management Ing. Michael Hrbata, the chairman of the Defence and Security Council of the Czech Parliament House of Representatives Mgr. František Bublan and the Chief of General Staff General of the Army Ing. Vlastimil Picek. |

Visitors from India
A delegation lead by the scientific advisor to the Minister of Defence Dr. V.K. Saraswat and escorted by HE Dinkar Prakash Srivastava, India ambassador to the Czech Republic, representing Indian Defence Research and Development Organisation visited the University of Defence on 24 June 2011 as a part of the official contacts held between the Czech and Indian Republics. |

Honorary Doctor Degree for Colonel Vintr Slovak Alexander Dubcek University of Trencin’s Scientific Board`s meeting held on Wednesday, 23 March 2011 conferred its honorary degree of Doctor honoris causa to the University’s of Defence Faculty of Military Technology Dean, Colonel prof. Ing. Zdenek Vintr, CSc. He received the diploma from University of Trencin rector, prof. Ing. Ivan Knepp, DrSc., personally. |
